Lake County inmate records in Citizen RIMS should be read as current jail records. They do not replace Lake County Superior Court files, CDCR prison records, BOP federal records, or ICE detainee records. The sheriff's RIMS configuration disabled public inmate photos, and the release page warns that booking can take several hours. A person may not appear online right away after arrest, and a first record may not contain every later charge, court event, or release condition.
Use Lake County Roster
Citizen RIMS is free to use and no public login was found for the jail roster. The most reliable starting facts are the person's full or partial name and the approximate arrest date. If the booking sheet is available from the record, Lake County's bail page says it can list charges, bail, and court dates. If the person is not listed, call Hill Road at 707-262-4240, especially for a same-day arrest or a release question.

The full Lake County inmate records chain matters because people move between custody systems. Hill Road covers current county jail custody. CDCR CIRIS covers sentenced California prisoners and Konocti Conservation Camp #27. BOP covers federal prison or detention records from 1982 forward. If none of the public locators show the person, use the records-request fallback rather than guessing from stale search results. Lake County's local inmate records center on Hill Road Correctional Facility. Konocti Conservation Camp #27 is in Lake County, but it is a CDCR and CAL FIRE facility for sentenced state prisoners, so it is not searched through the Lake County jail roster.

Lake County Booking Process
After arrest by LCSO, Clearlake Police, Lakeport Police, CHP, or another agency, the person is taken to Hill Road for intake. Staff create the booking record, document arrest and booking times, enter agency codes, run identity checks, screen medical and safety issues, inventory property, and handle classification. The facility provides on-site medical care, food service, laundry, visitation, and educational opportunities.
The official inmate-release page says booking may take several hours depending on workload. People arrested while intoxicated by drugs or alcohol remain in custody until sober, which can take up to 12 hours or more. Transport information to state prison or another institution is not released, so a person who disappears from the local roster may require a CDCR CIRIS search or a call to the jail.
Lake County booking data also records arrest location details that can help separate similar names. Inspected RIMS records included locations such as Clearlake, Lakeport, Lucerne, Nice, Clearlake Oaks, Kelseyville, Ukiah, Sonoma County, and HRCF. Agency codes also give useful context: LCSO is the Sheriff's Office, CPD is Clearlake Police, LPD is Lakeport Police, CHP is California Highway Patrol, and LCDA refers to the District Attorney. Use those clues before calling.
Lake County Visitation Schedule
Hill Road publishes pod-specific visiting windows. Visits are non-contact through glass for the listed units, last one-half hour, and begin on the hour and half-hour. Inmates and visitors are allowed one visit per visiting day. Mail Phone Deposits
Mail to a Lake County inmate must include the sender's name, full return address, the inmate's full name, and the facility address. Mail must go through the U.S. Postal Service and is not forwarded after release. Books, newspapers, and magazines must come directly from the publisher, and only soft-cover books are accepted. Prohibited items include Polaroid photos, oversize photos, pornographic material, stamps, stickers, writing paper, puzzles, perfume-scented letters, lipstick marks, bodily fluids, felt markers, glitter pens, crayons, and contraband.
Lake County inmates generally have phone access from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. unless facility needs limit access. Calls are outgoing collect. Prepaid collect accounts use ICSolutions or 888-506-8407, and voicemail can be left through 707-530-2100 when the caller has the inmate ID and account PIN. Deposits use Access Corrections online, mobile app, or the 24-hour jail booking lobby kiosk. Lake County no longer accepts money orders by mail.
